Communicate with GOD

If I love someone I will communicate with him. If we claim that we love God, we have to communicate with Him. The more we love God the more we communicate with Him.
What are the benefits of communicating with God?

1- Peace. Imagine a two years old child, lost in the Mall, or the market. As you expect the child will lose his peace. He will cry, feel sad and unsafe. As soon as he finds his father he will calm down and he will even sleep. We as children of God, when we lose our communication with God, we immediately lose our peace. Some of us will not sleep well. John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you"
2- Love. When we communicate with God, we feel his love to us. 1John 4:16 "God is love"
3- Fulfillment of our needs. Mark 11:24 "Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." And in Matthew 7:11 "If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him."
4- Guidance. Psalm 32:8 "I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you." When we suffer a lot by keeping ourselves away from God, we have to remember that he is waiting for us. God is just like the father of the two years old child waiting for us to give us all his love.
Most of us have no time to communicate with God. The good thing about communicating with God is the fact that He is always with us, can hear us at any where and at any time.

Here are some suggestions.

1- When we get up in the morning, we can thank God for giving us a new day. Ephesians 5:20 "Always giving thanks to God the father for everything" We can do that while walking to the bathroom.
2- Before we take our breakfast. John 6:11 "Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks"
3- While driving to work or sitting inside the subway or the bus, we can review our coming day and ask God to help us in all activities during the coming day. Psalm 32:8 "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you"
4- On our way back home, we can thank God for helping us with our work during the day, we have to be specific. When we quickly review our day, we can easily find many things that God helped us in.
5- When I see a flower, I remember how God's creation is perfect.
6- When I see the rain. I think about how God cares about me and provides me with water to drink and for the plants to grow.
7- When I return back home, I can thank God for returning safe to my home and that all my family members returned safely. Also I thank God for having a family.
8- During dinner, it will be nice if every one of the family give his story of the problems he faced during the day and how God helped him, If someone has unsolved problem, he can ask the other family members to pray for him.
9- If we watch the TV for sixty minutes or the internet, we can reduce it to fifty minutes. Turn the TV off and read The Holy Bible for five minutes and communicate with my family in five minutes.
10- Before I sleep, I can pray to God, thanking Him for the last day. I am not saying that what I am doing but I feel we have no excuse not to do that.

Do you have time to communicate with God?

A Brother Like That

A man named Paul received an automobile from his brother as a Christmas present. On Christmas Eve when Paul came out of his office, a street urchin was walking around the shining new car admiring it. "Is this your car, Mister?" he asked. Paul nodded. "My brother gave it to me for Christmas." The boy was astounded. "You mean your brother gave it to you and it didn't cost you nothing? Boy, I wish..." He hesitated.

Of course Paul knew what he was going to wish for. He was going to wish he had a brother like that. But what this lad said jarred Paul all the way down to his heels.
"I wish," the boy went on, "that I could be a brother like that."

Paul looked at the boy in astonishment, then impulsively he added, "Would you like to take a ride in my automobile?"

"Oh yes, I'd love that."
After a short ride, the boy turned with a glow in his eyes and said, "Mister, would you mind driving in front of my house?"

Paul smiled a little. He thought he knew what the lad wanted. He wanted to show his neighbors that he could ride home in a big automobile. But Paul was wrong again. "Will you stop where those two steps are?" the boy asked.

He ran up the steps. Then in a little while Paul heard him coming back, but he was not coming fast. He was carrying his little crippled brother. He sat him down on the bottom step, then sort of squeezed up against him and pointed to the car. "There she is, Buddy, just like I told you upstairs. His brother gave it to him for Christmas and it didn't cost him a cent. And someday I'm gonna give you one just like it... and you can see for yourself all the pretty things in the Christmas windows that I've been trying to tell you about."

Paul got out and lifted the lad into the front seat of his car. The shining-eyed older brother climbed in beside him and the three of them began a memorable holiday ride.
That Christmas Eve, Paul learned what Jesus meant when he had said: "It's more blessed to give..."

God is always there

I cannot ease your aching heart,
Nor take your pain away,
But God Will stay and Take your hand
And Walk with you forever!

God Listens when you need to talk;
God always Wipes away your tears
God Shares your worries when they come;
God Helps you face your fears.

God Is here and He will stand by you,
Each hill you have to climb,
God Will take your hand, to face the world;
Live one day at a time!

God is always and forever your help.
You're not alone, God Is always still here.
God Will give that extra mile,
And when your grief is easier,
God Will help you learn always to smile!

Taking Out The Trash

I looked out the window and realized it was garbage day. I slipped on a pair of shoes and made several trips to the curbside. I had missed last week so the garbage had begun to pile up in the shed.

I know we're blessed to have curbside pickup, but something about taking out the trash always makes me mumble. I'm thankful to have them come and haul it away, otherwise, it would be quite unappealing. The winter garbage isn't too bad, but the rest of the year it would smell and be a health hazard.

The garbage shed isn't very big, so it would quickly overflow. The magpies, ravens and cats would soon have it torn all apart. That would leave garbage strewn all over the neighbourhood.

Forgive me Lord for my mumbling.

Actually taking out the trash isn't a bad metaphor for something that ought to be part of our regular Christian routine. We need to do a regular examination of the state of our heart and our attitudes.

Have we become hardened? Have we allowed ingratitude, anger, bitterness, or prejudice to creep in? Have we developed attitudes of complaining an murmuring? Has our focus been shifted from God to the things of this world? Has our faith walk become mechanical and joyless?

Any of these attitudes, if left unattended long enough can begin to ripen like old garbage. They can be spiritual health hazards. Our heart garbage can quickly be strewn around and end up impacting those around us.

Fortunately, we serve a loving and forgiving God who will quickly place us back on the right path if we allow Him to. The Psalmist understood this.

For the sake of your name, O LORD, forgive my iniquity, though it is great Psalm 25:11 NIV
Help us, O God our Savior, for the glory of your name; deliver us and forgive our sins for your name's sake. Psalm 79:9 NIV

The prophets understood the need.

Take words with you and return to the LORD. Say to him: "Forgive all our sins and receive us graciously, that we may offer the fruit of our lips. Hosea 14:2 NIV
O Lord, listen! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, hear and act! For your sake, O my God, do not delay, because your city and your people bear your Name. Daniel 9:19 NIV
I know that trash is an unappealing metaphor for the state of our hearts, but if we're honest about it, we do accumulate all kinds of garbage there.

Until next time, may you make today and every day trash day and take all of your sin to the Lord.

Life hurts. We all carry baggage from those wounds. We carry bitterness, anger, resentment and more, We carry the guilt of our mistakes. There is a place to get rid of all of that and exchange it for forgiveness; love; hope; peace; joy and eternal life. That place is in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. That relationship can be started by simply opening your heart to Him. If you want to know how to do that simply open your Bible.

You can simply begin the relationship by honestly and completely opening your heart; admitting you need God's help; turning away from your sin and saying a prayer along the lines of:

Jesus:

I have made many mistakes in my life and done things I am not proud of. I have sinned. I need your love and forgiveness. I believe that you came into this world and gave your life on a cross to pay for my sins and that you defeated death and rose again. Please forgive me, and be the Lord of my life. I give my life to you Lord. Amen

"DON'T WORRY IT MAY NEVER HAPPEN"

A story is told of an elderly lady who lived in London during the blitz of World War II when London was subjected to almost incessant bombing by the Nazis.

A strong, resolute, very religious person, she lived all by herself. A friend noticed that she kept a motto card on the wall which read, "Don't worry, it may never happen." Her friend was always impressed and comforted by this, and he used to talk to her about it. But one night it did happen.

A bomb fell right next to her house, blew out every window she had, knocked all her fine china off the shelves, and blasted the plaster loose from ceilings and walls, filling her place with rubble and dust. Making haste to look in on her, her friend found her calmly sweeping the place up. Still hanging on the remaining wall was that motto, "Don't worry, it may never happen."

"What are we going to do about your motto now?" asked her friend.
"Oh heavens!" she explained, "I forgot to turn it over."

Whereupon she turned it. On the back side were written the words, "If It Happens we can Restore it back"

"Don't worry! It may never happen!" But if it does happen, "We can restore it back" because like Saint Paul, "We know that in all things God works for good to those who love Him."

I trust that everything happens for a reason, even when we're not wise enough to see it.

The Trouble Tree

The carpenter I hired to help me restore an old farmhouse had just finished a rough first day on the job. A flat tire made him lose an hour of work, his electric saw quit and now his ancient pickup truck refused to start.
While I drove him home, he sat in stony silence. On arriving, he invited me in to meet his family. As we walked toward the front door, he paused briefly at a small tree, touching the tips of the branches with both hands. When opening the door he underwent an amazing transformation. His tanned face was wreathed in smiles, he hugged his two small children and gave his wife a big kiss.

Afterward, he walked me to the car. We passed the tree and my curiosity got the better of me. I asked him about what I had seen him do earlier.
"Oh, that's my trouble tree," he replied. "I know I can't help having troubles on the job, but one thing for sure, troubles don't belong in the house with my wife and children. So I just hang them up on the tree every night when I come home. Then in the morning I pick them up again."
Funny thing is," he smiled, "when I come out in the morning to pick em up, there aren't nearly as many as I remember hanging up the night before."

Don't We All?

One evening I was parked in front of the mall wiping off my car. I had just come from the car wash and was waiting for my wife to get out of work. Coming my way from across the parking lot was what society would consider a bum. From the looks of him, he had no car, no home, no clean clothes, and no money. There are times when you feel generous but there are other times that you just don't want to be bothered. This was one of the "Don't want to be bothered" times. "I hope he doesn't ask me for money," I thought. He didn't. He came and sat on the curb in front of the bus stop and he didn't look like he could have enough money to even ride the bus. After a few minutes he spoke. "That's a very nice car," he said. He was ragged but had an air of dignity around him. I said, "Thanks," and continued wiping off my car. He sat there quietly as I worked.

The expected plea for money never came. As the silence between us widened something inside said, 'ask him if he needs any help.' I was sure that he would say yes, but I held true to the inner voice. "Do you need any help?" I asked. He answered in three simple but profound words that I shall never forget. We often look for wisdom in great men and women. We expect it from those of higher learning and accomplishments. I expected nothing but an outstretched grimy hand. He spoke three words that shook me.

"Don't we all?" he said. I needed help. Maybe not for bus fare or a place to sleep, but I needed help. I reached in my wallet and gave him not only enough for bus fare but enough to get a warm meal and shelter for the day. Those three little words still ring true. No matter how much you have, no matter how much you have accomplished, you need help too. No matter how little you have, no matter how loaded you are with problems, even without money or a place to sleep, you can give help. Even if it's just a compliment, you can give that. You never know when you may see someone that appears to have it all. They are waiting on you to give them what they don't have. A different perspective on life, a glimpse at something beautiful, a respite from daily chaos, that only you through a torn world can see. Maybe the man was just a homeless stranger wandering the streets. Maybe he was more than that. Maybe he was sent by a power that is great and wise to minister to a soul too comfortable in themselves. Maybe God looked down, called an Angel, dressed him like a bum, then said, "Go minister to that man cleaning the car, that man needs help." "Don't We All?"

The Price He Paid For Us

There once was a man named George Thomas, a pastor in a small New England town. One Easter Sunday morning he came to the church carrying a rusty, bent, old bird cage, and set it by the pulpit. Several eyebrows were raised and, as if in response, Pastor Thomas began to speak. "I was walking through town yesterday when I saw a young boy coming toward me, swinging this bird cage. On the bottom of the cage were three little wild birds, shivering with cold and fright. I stopped the lad and asked,

"'What you got there son?"
"Just some old birds," came the reply.
"What are you gonna do with them?" I asked.
"Take 'em home and have fun with 'em. I'm gonna tease 'em and pull out their feathers to make 'em fight. I'm gonna have a real good time."
"But you'll get tired of those birds sooner or later. What will you do then?"
"Oh, I got some cats. They like birds. I'll take 'em to them."

The pastor was silent for a moment. "How much do you want for those birds, son?"
"Huh??!!! Why, you don't want them birds, mister. They're just plain old field birds. They don't sing-they ain't even pretty!"
"How much?"
The boy sized up the pastor as if he were crazy and said, "$10?"

The pastor reached in his pocket and took out a ten-dollar bill. He placed it in the boy's hand. In a flash, the boy was gone. The pastor picked up the cage and gently carried it to the end of the alley where there was a tree and a grassy spot. Setting the cage down, he opened the door, and by softly tapping the bars, persuaded the birds out, setting them free.

Well, that explained the empty bird cage on the pulpit, and then the pastor began to tell this story. One day Satan and Jesus were having a conversation. Satan had just come from the Garden of Eden, and he was gloating and boasting.

"Yes sir, I just caught the world full of people down there. Set me a trap, used bait I knew they couldn't resist. Got 'em all!"
"What are you going to do with them?" Jesus asked.
"Oh, I'm gonna have fun! I'm gonna teach them how to marry and divorce each other, how to hate and abuse each other, how to invent guns and bombs and kill each other. I'm really gonna have fun!"
"And what will you do when you get done with them?" Jesus asked.
"Oh, I'll kill 'em."
"How much do you want for them?"
"Oh, you don't want those people. They ain't no good. Why, you take them and they'll just hate you. They'll spit on you, curse you and kill you!! You don't want those people!!"
"HOW MUCH?"

Satan looked at Jesus and sneered, "All your tears, and all your blood."

Jesus paid the price. He picked up the cage... HE OPENED THE DOOR.

"Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped. Psalm 124: 7.2"
"For as much as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, [as] silver and gold, from your vain conversation [received] by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 1 Peter 1 : 18 – 19"

FULFILLING VOWS

When you make a vow to God, do not delay in fulfilling it. He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow. (Ecclesiastes 5:4)

Have you ever had a business relationship with someone who made a commitment but later said, "Well, things changed, so I cannot honor our original agreement"?

Sometimes this may be the case, but often it is simply an opportunity to avoid fulfilling an agreement. God is big on fulfilling vows. God's nature is righteousness and truth. You will always see God honor His Word. He expects the same of His people.

God says there are consequences when we do not fulfill our vows. Subsequent Scripture verses reveal the following: "It is better not to vow than to make a vow and not fulfill it. Do not let your mouth lead you into sin. And do not protest to the temple messenger, 'My vow was a mistake.' Why should God be angry with what you say and destroy the work of your hands? Much dreaming and many words are meaningless. Therefore stand in awe of God" (Ecclesiastes 5:5-7).

God tells us that He will destroy the work of our hands for failure to fulfill vows. That's pretty strong language. It gives us an indication of how important fulfilling vows is to God. He will not prosper our work if there are unfulfilled vows in our lives.

Are there any unfulfilled vows in your life that may be hindering your projects? Vows show up in many areas of our lives - marriages, businesses, personal friendships. Unfulfilled vows in any one of these could be the reason your work may be hindered.
Ask God today if there are any unfulfilled vows in your life. If so, begin today to make them right so that you may be successful in whatever God calls you to do.

*If we would remember the vows we made
And be pure and true within;
We would not compromise the truth
And lead ourselves into sin.

Dear God,

Thanks for giving me a daddy. You knew just what I’d need! In case you need to make daddies for other kids, I thought you might like to know what I like best about the one you sent me:

A good dad ...

1. knows everything (like how to tie shoes and drive a car)
2. is really smart (he even knows where the wind goes after it blows through the trees)
3. has a forgiving heart (for when I mess up)
4. is loaded with patience, patience, patience (he probably won’t need it, but just in case...)
5. has a comfy lap and a big laugh (you understand about that, don’t you?)
6. tells me all about you and your son.

Your friend,

A Kid

P.S. I almost left out the best part! A good dad has real strong arms (to catch me when I fall. Hesays you’re just like that, too.)

A Beautiful Message
Sally jumped up as soon as she saw the surgeon come out of the operating room. She said: ''How is my little boy? Is he going to be all right? When can I see him?''
The surgeon said, ''I'm sorry. We did all we could, but your boy didn't make it.''
Sally said, ''Why do little children get cancer? Doesn't God care any more? Where were you, God, when my son needed you?''
The surgeon asked, ''Would you like some time alone with your son? One of the nurses will be out in a few minutes, before he's transported to the university.''
Sally asked the nurse to stay with her while she said good-bye to son. She ran her fingers lovingly through his thick red curly hair.
''Would you like a lock of his hair?'' the nurse asked.
Sally nodded yes. The nurse cut a lock of the boy's hair, put it in a plastic bag and handed it to Sally. The mother said, ''It was Jimmy's idea to donate his body to the university for study. He said it might help somebody else. I said no at first, but Jimmy said, 'Mom, I won't be using it after I die. Maybe it will help some other little boy spend one more day with his Mom.' She went on, ''My Jimmy had a heart of gold. Always thinking of someone else. Always wanting to help others if he could.''
Sally walked out of Children's mercy Hospital for the last time, after spending most of the last six months there. She put the bag with Jimmy's belongings on the seat beside her in the car. The drive home was difficult. It was even harder to enter the empty house. She carried Jimmy's belongings, and the plastic bag with the lock of his hair to her son's room. She started placing the model cars and other personal things back in his room exactly where he had always kept them. She laid down across his bed and, hugging his pillow, cried herself to sleep.
It was around midnight when Sally awoke. Laying beside her on the bed was a folded letter. The letter said:

''Dear Mom, I know you're going to miss me; but don't think that I will ever forget you, or stop loving you, just 'cause I'm not around to say I LOVE YOU. I will always love you, Mom, even more with each day. Someday we wi ll see each other again. Until then, if you want to adopt a little boy so you won't be so lonely, that's okay with me. He can have my room and old stuff to play with. But, if you decide to get a girl instead, she probably wouldn't like the same things us boys do. You'll have to buy her dolls and stuff girls like, you know. Don't be sad thinking about me. This really is a neat place. Grandma and Grandpa met me as soon as I got here and showed me around some, but it will take a long time to see everything. The angels are so cool. I love to watch them fly. And, you know what? Jesus doesn't look like any of his pictures. Yet, when I saw Him, I knew it was Him. Jesus himself took me to see GOD! And guess what, Mom? I got to sit on God's k! nee and talk to Him, like I was somebody important. That's when I told Him that I wanted to write you a letter, to tell you good-bye and everything. But I already knew that wasn't allowed. Well, you know what Mom? God handed me some paper and His own personal pen to write you this letter. I think Gabriel is the name of the angel who is going to drop this letter off to you. God said for me to give you the answer to one of the questions you asked Him 'Where was He when I needed him?' "God said He was in the same place with me, as when His son Jesus was on the cross. He was right there, as He always is with all His children.

Oh, by the way, Mom, no one else can see what I've written except you. To everyone else this is just a blank piece of paper. Isn't that cool? I have to give God His pen back now. He needs it to write some more names in the Book of Life. Tonight I get to sit at the table with Jesus for supper. I'm, sure the food will be great.

Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. I don't hurt anymore. The cancer is all gone. I'm glad because I couldn't stand that pain anymore and God couldn't stand to see me hurt so much, either. That's when He sent The Angel of Mercy to come get me. The Angel said I was a Special Delivery! How about that?

Signed with Love from :
Jesus & Me.

How to Carry Your Burden

A monarch of long ago had twin sons. There was some confusion about which one was born first. As they grew to young manhood, the king sought a fair way to designate one of them as crown prince.

All who knew the young men thought them equal in intelligence, wit, personal charm, health, and physical strength. Being a keenly observant king, he thought he detected a trait in one which was not shared by the other.

Calling them to his council chamber one day, he said, "My sons, the day will come when one of you must succeed me as king. The burdens of sovereignty are very heavy.
To find out which of you is better able to bear them cheerfully, I am sending you together to a far corner of the kingdom. One of my advisors there will place equal burdens on your shoulders. My crown will one day go to the one who first returns bearing his burden like a king should."

In a spirit of friendly competition, the brothers set out together. Soon they overtook an aged woman struggling under a burden that seemed far too heavy for her frail body. One of the boys suggested that they stop to help her. The other protested: "We have a burden of our own to worry about. Let us be on our way."

The objector hurried on while the other stayed behind to give aid to the aged woman.
Along the road, from day to day, he found others who also needed help. A blind man took him miles out of his way, and a lame man slowed him to a cripple's walk. Eventually he did reach his father's advisor, where he secured his own burden and started home with it safely on his shoulders. When he arrived at the palace, his brother met him at the gate, and greeted him with dismay.

He said, "I don't understand. I told our father the burden was too heavy to carry.
How were you able to do it?"

The future king replied thoughtfully, "I suppose when I helped others carry their burdens, I found the strength to carry my own."

"You have not yet acquired perfect love if your regard for people is still swayed by their characters - for example, if, for some particular reason, you love one person and hate another, or if for the same reason you sometimes love and sometimes hate the same person."

St. Maximos the Confessor

"Love toward neighbor is bound up with love of God. When love toward neighbor is destroyed, then so, too, is love toward the God. Whoever does not love his neighbor does not even love God Himself."

MAKING PANCAKES

Verse Of The Week
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God sent the son into the world, not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him." (John 3:16-17)

The Wisdom
"My son if you receive my word and treasure up my commandments with you, making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding; then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God." (Proverb 2:1-2, 5)

Jesus said
"I am the light of the world; he who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life."
"He who hears my word and believes him who sent me, has eternal life; he does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life."

Making Pancake
The story says, a young boy decided one morning to make his own breakfast. He wanted to make some pancakes. He got a big pan and a large spoon, pulled a chair to the counter; pulled over the heavy flour canister spilling flour on the counter and floor. He scooped some flour into the bowl. By now his face, hands and pajamas were covered with flour. He added some milk and sugar then cracked a couple of eggs. Mixing all these together, his cat started licking the mix. Pushing the cat away he knocked the egg carton to the floor. Scared and worried he started to clean his mess he slipped on the eggs. Now he is sticky and all white. At this critical moment his father walked in, the boy started crying, "Dad I just wanted to do something good, I wanted to make some pancakes". He was sure he is going to be spanked and scolded. But the loving father walked quietly through the mess and picked his son, hugged him, loved him and cleansed him getting his own hand and pajamas white and sticky.

This story reminds me with Jesus parable of the son that was lost. How the son messed up his own life, took his share of his father’s wealth and squandered it into loose living. Then he became in want, lived with swine and admired it’s food. But when he came to himself, went back to his father admitting his sins, the father forgave him and dressed him in the best robe, put a ring on his hand and made a merry feast.

So, how many times we act like young boy and take the matter in our own hand? How many times we act like that son that was lost and lived a loose life?

Is it not the time now to come back to ourselves? Come back to our loving and caring father admitting our sins and mistakes and ask forgiveness? He is ready to accept us, cleanse us, dress us in shiny white robes, hug us to his breast and protect us with his right arm.

"Behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation."

"Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord; though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like pure wool."

"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy-laden, and I will give rest" Said Jesus

I CANNOT PRAY.....

I cannot say, "OUR", if I have no room in my life for others and their needs.
I cannot say, "FATHER", if I do not demonstrate this relationship in my daily living.
I cannot say, "WHO ART IN HEAVEN", if all my interests and pursuits are in earthly things.
I cannot say, "HALLOWED BE THY NAME", if I, who am called to bear His name, am not holy.
I cannot say, "THY KINGDOM COME", if I am unwilling to give up my own sovereignty and accept the righteous reign of God.
I cannot say, "THY WILL BE DONE", if I am unwilling or resentful of having God's will in my life.
I cannot say, "ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN", unless I am truly ready to give myself to His service here and now.
I cannot say, "GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD", without expending honest effort for it, or by ignoring the genuine needs of others.
I cannot say, "FORGIVE US OUR TRESPASSES AS WE FORGIVE THOSE WHO TRESPASS AGAINST US", if I continue to harbor a grudge against anyone.
I cannot say, "LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION", if I deliberately choose to remain in a situation where I am likely to be tempted.
I cannot say, "DELIVER US FROM EVIL", if I am not prepared to fight in the spiritual realm with the ultimate weapon of prayer.
I cannot say, "THINE IS THE KINGDOM", if I do not give the kind of disciplined obedience of a loyal subject.
I cannot say, "THINE IS THE POWER", if I fear what my neighbors may say or do.
I cannot say, "FOREVER", if I am too anxious about each day's events.
I cannot say, "AMEN", unless I can honestly say, "cost what it may, this is my prayer."

The Keys to Happiness and Success

Try to end a quarrel.
Seek out a forgotten friend.
Dismiss suspicion, and replace it with trust.
Write a love letter.
Share some treasure.
Give a soft answer.
Encourage youth.
Manifest your loyalty in word and deed.
Keep a promise.
Find the time.
Forgo a grudge.
Forgive an enemy.
Listen.
Apologize if you were wrong.
Try to understand.
Flout envy.
Examine your demands of others.
Think first of somebody else.
Appreciate.
Be kind.
Be gentle.
Laugh a little.
Laugh a little more.
Deserve confidence.
Take up arms against malice.
Express your gratitude.
Go to church.
Welcome a stranger.
Gladden the heart of a child or a senior.
Take pleasure in the beauty and wonder of the earth.
Do a random act of kindness.
Speak your love.

If you use these keys to happiness
you can unlock the doors of success!

Lord, I am angry,

So angry, with what is happening.
It is so unfair, unjust, unethical.
I want to lash out
Hold someone responsible.
I want to take my anger out on them.
But your word says
To turn the other cheek;
To pray for them
And treat them kindly.
But how can I?
Simply because of a stupid mistake.
What do I do now?
How do I cope?
Lord, help me find a way.
Bring peace to my heart.
Bring peace to the others
Show me what I need to do,
How to act appropriately
At times like this.
Guide me lord.
I am lost without you!
