Important: If you are from outside Canada and you have settled in Québec, you have 3 months following your arrival in Canada to apply for a license exchange for a Québec license, regardless of whether you are required to take a driving test.
To get a Québec driver's license or to exchange a driver's license issued elsewhere for a Québec license, the first step is to contact the SAAQ by telephone to make an appointment.
