Psaume 101
¹   De David. Psaume. Je chanterai la bonté et la justice; C'est à toi, éternel! que je chanterai.
²   Je prendrai garde à la voie droite. Quand viendras-tu à moi? Je marcherai dans l'intégrité de mon coeur, Au milieu de ma maison.
³   Je ne mettrai rien de mauvais devant mes yeux; Je hais la conduite des pécheurs; Elle ne s'attachera point à moi.
⁴   Le coeur pervers s'éloignera de moi; Je ne veux pas connaître le méchant.
⁵   Celui qui calomnie en secret son prochain, je l'anéantirai; Celui qui a des regards hautains et un coeur enflé, je ne le supporterai pas.
⁶   J'aurai les yeux sur les fidèles du pays, Pour qu'ils demeurent auprès de moi; Celui qui marche dans une voie intègre sera mon serviteur.
⁷   Celui qui se livre à la fraude n'habitera pas dans ma maison; Celui qui dit des mensonges ne subsistera pas en ma présence.
⁸   Chaque matin j'anéantirai tous les méchants du pays, Afin d'exterminer de la ville de l'éternel Tous ceux qui commettent l'iniquité.

Psalm 101
¹   I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD, will I sing.
²   I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.
³   I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.
⁴   A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person.
⁵   Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.
⁶   Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.
⁷   He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.
⁸   I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the LORD.

Psaume 102
¹   (102:1) Prière d'un malheureux, lorsqu'il est abattu et qu'il répand sa plainte devant l'éternel. (102:2) éternel, écoute ma prière, Et que mon cri parvienne jusqu'à toi!
²   (102:3) Ne me cache pas ta face au jour de ma détresse! Incline vers moi ton oreille quand je crie! Hâte-toi de m'exaucer!
³   (102:4) Car mes jours s'évanouissent en fumée, Et mes os sont enflammés comme un tison.
⁴   (102:5) Mon coeur est frappé et se dessèche comme l'herbe; J'oublie même de manger mon pain.
⁵   (102:6) Mes gémissements sont tels Que mes os s'attachent à ma chair.
⁶   (102:7) Je ressemble au pélican du désert, Je suis comme le chat-huant des ruines;
⁷   (102:8) Je n'ai plus de sommeil, et je suis Comme l'oiseau solitaire sur un toit.
⁸   (102:9) Chaque jour mes ennemis m'outragent, Et c'est par moi que jurent mes adversaires en fureur.
⁹   (102:10) Je mange la poussière au lieu de pain, Et je mêle des larmes à ma boisson,
¹⁰   (102:11) A cause de ta colère et de ta fureur; Car tu m'as soulevé et jeté au loin.
¹¹   (102:12) Mes jours sont comme l'ombre à son déclin, Et je me dessèche comme l'herbe.
¹²   (102:13) Mais toi, éternel! tu règnes à perpétuité, Et ta mémoire dure de génération en génération.
¹³   (102:14) Tu te lèveras, tu auras pitié de Sion; Car le temps d'avoir pitié d'elle, Le temps fixé est à son terme;
¹⁴   (102:15) Car tes serviteurs en aiment les pierres, Ils en chérissent la poussière.
¹⁵   (102:16) Alors les nations craindront le nom de l'éternel, Et tous les rois de la terre ta gloire.
¹⁶   (102:17) Oui, l'éternel rebâtira Sion, Il se montrera dans sa gloire.
¹⁷   (102:18) Il est attentif à la prière du misérable, Il ne dédaigne pas sa prière.
¹⁸   (102:19) Que cela soit écrit pour la génération future, Et que le peuple qui sera créé célèbre l'éternel!
¹⁹   (102:20) Car il regarde du lieu élevé de sa sainteté; Du haut des cieux l'éternel regarde sur la terre,
²⁰   (102:21) Pour écouter les gémissements des captifs, Pour délivrer ceux qui vont périr,
²¹   (102:22) Afin qu'ils publient dans Sion le nom de l'éternel, Et ses louanges dans Jérusalem,
²²   (102:23) Quand tous les peuples s'assembleront, Et tous les royaumes, pour servir l'éternel.
²³   (102:24) Il a brisé ma force dans la route, Il a abrégé mes jours.
²⁴   (102:25) Je dis: Mon Dieu, ne m'enlève pas au milieu de mes jours, Toi, dont les années durent éternellement!
²⁵   (102:26) Tu as anciennement fondé la terre, Et les cieux sont l'ouvrage de tes mains.
²⁶   (102:27) Ils périront, mais tu subsisteras; Ils s'useront tous comme un vêtement; Tu les changeras comme un habit, et ils seront changés.
²⁷   (102:28) Mais toi, tu restes le même, Et tes années ne finiront point.
²⁸   (102:29) Les fils de tes serviteurs habiteront leur pays, Et leur postérité s'affermira devant toi.

Psalm 102
¹   Hear my prayer, O LORD, and let my cry come unto thee.
²   Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily.
³   For my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned as an hearth.
⁴   My heart is smitten, and withered like grass; so that I forget to eat my bread.
⁵   By reason of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my skin.
⁶   I am like a pelican of the wilderness: I am like an owl of the desert.
⁷   I watch, and am as a sparrow alone upon the house top.
⁸   Mine enemies reproach me all the day; and they that are mad against me are sworn against me.
⁹   For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with weeping.
¹⁰   Because of thine indignation and thy wrath: for thou hast lifted me up, and cast me down.
¹¹   My days are like a shadow that declineth; and I am withered like grass.
¹²   But thou, O LORD, shall endure for ever; and thy remembrance unto all generations.
¹³   Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.
¹⁴   For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and favour the dust thereof.
¹⁵   So the heathen shall fear the name of the LORD, and all the kings of the earth thy glory.
¹⁶   When the LORD shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory.
¹⁷   He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.
¹⁸   This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD.
¹⁹   For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the LORD behold the earth;
²⁰   To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death;
²¹   To declare the name of the LORD in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem;
²²   When the people are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve the LORD.
²³   He weakened my strength in the way; he shortened my days.
²⁴   I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days: thy years are throughout all generations.
²⁵   Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.
²⁶   They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:
²⁷   But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.
²⁸   The children of thy servants shall continue, and their seed shall be established before thee.

Psaume 103
¹   De David. Mon âme, bénis l'éternel! Que tout ce qui est en moi bénisse son saint nom!
²   Mon âme, bénis l'éternel, Et n'oublie aucun de ses bienfaits!
³   C'est lui qui pardonne toutes tes iniquités, Qui guérit toutes tes maladies;
⁴   C'est lui qui délivre ta vie de la fosse, Qui te couronne de bonté et de miséricorde;
⁵   C'est lui qui rassasie de biens ta vieillesse, Qui te fait rajeunir comme l'aigle.
⁶   L'éternel fait justice, Il fait droit à tous les opprimés.
⁷   Il a manifesté ses voies à Moïse, Ses oeuvres aux enfants d'Israël.
⁸   L'éternel est miséricordieux et compatissant, Lent à la colère et riche en bonté;
⁹   Il ne conteste pas sans cesse, Il ne garde pas sa colère à toujours;
¹⁰   Il ne nous traite pas selon nos péchés, Il ne nous punit pas selon nos iniquités.
¹¹   Mais autant les cieux sont élevés au-dessus de la terre, Autant sa bonté est grande pour ceux qui le craignent;
¹²   Autant l'orient est éloigné de l'occident, Autant il éloigne de nous nos transgressions.
¹³   Comme un père a compassion de ses enfants, L'éternel a compassion de ceux qui le craignent.
¹⁴   Car il sait de quoi nous sommes formés, Il se souvient que nous sommes poussière.
¹⁵   L'homme! ses jours sont comme l'herbe, Il fleurit comme la fleur des champs.
¹⁶   Lorsqu'un vent passe sur elle, elle n'est plus, Et le lieu qu'elle occupait ne la reconnaît plus.
¹⁷   Mais la bonté de l'éternel dure à jamais pour ceux qui le craignent, Et sa miséricorde pour les enfants de leurs enfants,
¹⁸   Pour ceux qui gardent son alliance, Et se souviennent de ses commandements afin de les accomplir.
¹⁹   L'éternel a établi son trône dans les cieux, Et son règne domine sur toutes choses.
²⁰   Bénissez l'éternel, vous ses anges, Qui êtes puissants en force, et qui exécutez ses ordres, En obéissant à la voix de sa parole!
²¹   Bénissez l'éternel, vous toutes ses armées, Qui êtes ses serviteurs, et qui faites sa volonté!
²²   Bénissez l'éternel, vous toutes ses oeuvres, Dans tous les lieux de sa domination! Mon âme, bénis l'éternel!

Psalm 103
¹   Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
²   Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
³   Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
⁴   Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
⁵   Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
⁶   The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.
⁷   He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
⁸   The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
⁹   He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.
¹⁰   He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
¹¹   For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
¹²   As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
¹³   Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.
¹⁴   For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
¹⁵   As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
¹⁶   For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.
¹⁷   But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;
¹⁸   To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.
¹⁹   The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.
²⁰   Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
²¹   Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.
²²   Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul.

Psaume 104
¹   Mon âme, bénis l'éternel! éternel, mon Dieu, tu es infiniment grand! Tu es revêtu d'éclat et de magnificence!
²   Il s'enveloppe de lumière comme d'un manteau; Il étend les cieux comme un pavillon.
³   Il forme avec les eaux le faîte de sa demeure; Il prend les nuées pour son char, Il s'avance sur les ailes du vent.
⁴   Il fait des vents ses messagers, Des flammes de feu ses serviteurs.
⁵   Il a établi la terre sur ses fondements, Elle ne sera jamais ébranlée.
⁶   Tu l'avais couverte de l'abîme comme d'un vêtement, Les eaux s'arrêtaient sur les montagnes;
⁷   Elles ont fui devant ta menace, Elles se sont précipitées à la voix de ton tonnerre.
⁸   Des montagnes se sont élevées, des vallées se sont abaissées, Au lieu que tu leur avais fixé.
⁹   Tu as posé une limite que les eaux ne doivent point franchir, Afin qu'elles ne reviennent plus couvrir la terre.
¹⁰   Il conduit les sources dans des torrents Qui coulent entre les montagnes.
¹¹   Elles abreuvent tous les animaux des champs; Les ânes sauvages y étanchent leur soif.
¹²   Les oiseaux du ciel habitent sur leurs bords, Et font résonner leur voix parmi les rameaux.
¹³   De sa haute demeure, il arrose les montagnes; La terre est rassasiée du fruit de tes oeuvres.
¹⁴   Il fait germer l'herbe pour le bétail, Et les plantes pour les besoins de l'homme, Afin que la terre produise de la nourriture,
¹⁵   Le vin qui réjouit le coeur de l'homme, Et fait plus que l'huile resplendir son visage, Et le pain qui soutient le coeur de l'homme.
¹⁶   Les arbres de l'éternel se rassasient, Les cèdres du Liban, qu'il a plantés.
¹⁷   C'est là que les oiseaux font leurs nids; La cigogne a sa demeure dans les cyprès,
¹⁸   Les montagnes élevées sont pour les boucs sauvages, Les rochers servent de retraite aux damans.
¹⁹   Il a fait la lune pour marquer les temps; Le soleil sait quand il doit se coucher.
²⁰   Tu amènes les ténèbres, et il est nuit: Alors tous les animaux des forêts sont en mouvement;
²¹   Les lionceaux rugissent après la proie, Et demandent à Dieu leur nourriture.
²²   Le soleil se lève: ils se retirent, Et se couchent dans leurs tanières.
²³   L'homme sort pour se rendre à son ouvrage, Et à son travail, jusqu'au soir.
²⁴   Que tes oeuvres sont en grand nombre, ô éternel! Tu les as toutes faites avec sagesse. La terre est remplie de tes biens.
²⁵   Voici la grande et vaste mer: Là se meuvent sans nombre Des animaux petits et grands;
²⁶   Là se promènent les navires, Et ce léviathan que tu as formé pour se jouer dans les flots.
²⁷   Tous ces animaux espèrent en toi, Pour que tu leur donnes la nourriture en son temps.
²⁸   Tu la leur donnes, et ils la recueillent; Tu ouvres ta main, et ils se rassasient de biens.
²⁹   Tu caches ta face: ils sont tremblants; Tu leur retires le souffle: ils expirent, Et retournent dans leur poussière.
³⁰   Tu envoies ton souffle: ils sont créés, Et tu renouvelles la face de la terre.
³¹   Que la gloire de l'éternel subsiste à jamais! Que l'éternel se réjouisse de ses oeuvres!
³²   Il regarde la terre, et elle tremble; Il touche les montagnes, et elles sont fumantes.
³³   Je chanterai l'éternel tant que je vivrai, Je célébrerai mon Dieu tant que j'existerai.
³⁴   Que mes paroles lui soient agréables! Je veux me réjouir en l'éternel.
³⁵   Que les pécheurs disparaissent de la terre, Et que les méchants ne soient plus! Mon âme, bénis l'éternel! Louez l'éternel!

Psalm 104
¹   Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.
²   Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:
³   Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind:
⁴   Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:
⁵   Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.
⁶   Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment: the waters stood above the mountains.
⁷   At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.
⁸   They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them.
⁹   Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth.
¹⁰   He sendeth the springs into the valleys, which run among the hills.
¹¹   They give drink to every beast of the field: the wild asses quench their thirst.
¹²   By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, which sing among the branches.
¹³   He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.
¹⁴   He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;
¹⁵   And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man's heart.
¹⁶   The trees of the LORD are full of sap; the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted;
¹⁷   Where the birds make their nests: as for the stork, the fir trees are her house.
¹⁸   The high hills are a refuge for the wild goats; and the rocks for the conies.
¹⁹   He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down.
²⁰   Thou makest darkness, and it is night: wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth.
²¹   The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their meat from God.
²²   The sun ariseth, they gather themselves together, and lay them down in their dens.
²³   Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening.
²⁴   O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.
²⁵   So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts.
²⁶   There go the ships: there is that leviathan, whom thou hast made to play therein.
²⁷   These wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give them their meat in due season.
²⁸   That thou givest them they gather: thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good.
²⁹   Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust.
³⁰   Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.
³¹   The glory of the LORD shall endure for ever: the LORD shall rejoice in his works.
³²   He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke.
³³   I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
³⁴   My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.
³⁵   Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the LORD, O my soul. Praise ye the LORD.

Psaume 105
¹   Louez l'éternel, invoquez son nom! Faites connaître parmi les peuples ses hauts faits!
²   Chantez, chantez en son honneur! Parlez de toutes ses merveilles!
³   Glorifiez-vous de son saint nom! Que le coeur de ceux qui cherchent l'éternel se réjouisse!
⁴   Ayez recours à l'éternel et à son appui, Cherchez continuellement sa face!
⁵   Souvenez-vous des prodiges qu'il a faits, De ses miracles et des jugements de sa bouche,
⁶   Postérité d'Abraham, son serviteur, Enfants de Jacob, ses élus!
⁷   L'éternel est notre Dieu; Ses jugements s'exercent sur toute la terre.
⁸   Il se rappelle à toujours son alliance, Ses promesses pour mille générations,
⁹   L'alliance qu'il a traitée avec Abraham, Et le serment qu'il a fait à Isaac;
¹⁰   Il l'a érigée pour Jacob en loi, Pour Israël en alliance éternelle,
¹¹   Disant: Je te donnerai le pays de Canaan Comme héritage qui vous est échu.
¹²   Ils étaient alors peu nombreux, Très peu nombreux, et étrangers dans le pays,
¹³   Et ils allaient d'une nation à l'autre Et d'un royaume vers un autre peuple;
¹⁴   Mais il ne permit à personne de les opprimer, Et il châtia des rois à cause d'eux:
¹⁵   Ne touchez pas à mes oints, Et ne faites pas de mal à mes prophètes!
¹⁶   Il appela sur le pays la famine, Il coupa tout moyen de subsistance.
¹⁷   Il envoya devant eux un homme: Joseph fut vendu comme esclave.
¹⁸   On serra ses pieds dans des liens, On le mit aux fers,
¹⁹   Jusqu'au temps où arriva ce qu'il avait annoncé, Et où la parole de l'éternel l'éprouva.
²⁰   Le roi fit ôter ses liens, Le dominateur des peuples le délivra.
²¹   Il l'établit seigneur sur sa maison, Et gouverneur de tous ses biens,
²²   Afin qu'il pût à son gré enchaîner ses princes, Et qu'il enseignât la sagesse à ses anciens.
²³   Alors Israël vint en égypte, Et Jacob séjourna dans le pays de Cham.
²⁴   Il rendit son peuple très fécond, Et plus puissant que ses adversaires.
²⁵   Il changea leur coeur, au point qu'ils haïrent son peuple Et qu'ils traitèrent ses serviteurs avec perfidie.
²⁶   Il envoya Moïse, son serviteur, Et Aaron, qu'il avait choisi.
²⁷   Ils accomplirent par son pouvoir des prodiges au milieu d'eux, Ils firent des miracles dans le pays de Cham.
²⁸   Il envoya des ténèbres et amena l'obscurité, Et ils ne furent pas rebelles à sa parole.
²⁹   Il changea leurs eaux en sang, Et fit périr leurs poissons.
³⁰   Le pays fourmilla de grenouilles, Jusque dans les chambres de leurs rois.
³¹   Il dit, et parurent les mouches venimeuses, Les poux sur tout leur territoire.
³²   Il leur donna pour pluie de la grêle, Des flammes de feu dans leur pays.
³³   Il frappa leurs vignes et leurs figuiers, Et brisa les arbres de leur contrée.
³⁴   Il dit, et parurent les sauterelles, Des sauterelles sans nombre,
³⁵   Qui dévorèrent toute l'herbe du pays, Qui dévorèrent les fruits de leurs champs.
³⁶   Il frappa tous les premiers-nés dans leur pays, Toutes les prémices de leur force.
³⁷   Il fit sortir son peuple avec de l'argent et de l'or, Et nul ne chancela parmi ses tribus.
³⁸   Les égyptiens se réjouirent de leur départ, Car la terreur qu'ils avaient d'eux les saisissait.
³⁹   Il étendit la nuée pour les couvrir, Et le feu pour éclairer la nuit.
⁴⁰   A leur demande, il fit venir des cailles, Et il les rassasia du pain du ciel.
⁴¹   Il ouvrit le rocher, et des eaux coulèrent; Elles se répandirent comme un fleuve dans les lieux arides.
⁴²   Car il se souvint de sa parole sainte, Et d'Abraham, son serviteur.
⁴³   Il fit sortir son peuple dans l'allégresse, Ses élus au milieu des cris de joie.
⁴⁴   Il leur donna les terres des nations, Et ils possédèrent le fruit du travail des peuples,
⁴⁵   Afin qu'ils gardassent ses ordonnances, Et qu'ils observassent ses lois. Louez l'éternel!

Psalm 105
¹   O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.
²   Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.
³   Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
⁴   Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.
⁵   Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
⁶   O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.
⁷   He is the LORD our God: his judgments are in all the earth.
⁸   He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.
⁹   Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;
¹⁰   And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:
¹¹   Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:
¹²   When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.
¹³   When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people;
¹⁴   He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;
¹⁵   Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
¹⁶   Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.
¹⁷   He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:
¹⁸   Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:
¹⁹   Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.
²⁰   The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.
²¹   He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:
²²   To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.
²³   Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
²⁴   And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.
²⁵   He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.
²⁶   He sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen.
²⁷   They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.
²⁸   He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.
²⁹   He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.
³⁰   Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings.
³¹   He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, and lice in all their coasts.
³²   He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.
³³   He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts.
³⁴   He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number,
³⁵   And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.
³⁶   He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength.
³⁷   He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.
³⁸   Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.
³⁹   He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.
⁴⁰   The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
⁴¹   He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river.
⁴²   For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.
⁴³   And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:
⁴⁴   And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;
⁴⁵   That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD.

Psaume 106
¹   Louez l'ةternel! Louez l'ةternel, car il est bon, Car sa miséricorde dure à toujours!
²   Qui dira les hauts faits de l'ةternel? Qui publiera toute sa louange?
³   Heureux ceux qui observent la loi, Qui pratiquent la justice en tout temps!
⁴   ةternel, souviens-toi de moi dans ta bienveillance pour ton peuple! Souviens-toi de moi en lui accordant ton secours,
⁵   Afin que je voie le bonheur de tes élus, Que je me réjouisse de la joie de ton peuple, Et que je me glorifie avec ton héritage!
⁶   Nous avons péché comme nos pères, Nous avons commis l'iniquité, nous avons fait le mal.
⁷   Nos pères en ةgypte ne furent pas attentifs à tes miracles, Ils ne se rappelèrent pas la multitude de tes grâces, Ils furent rebelles près de la mer, près de la mer Rouge.
⁸   Mais il les sauva à cause de son nom, Pour manifester sa puissance.
⁹   Il menaça la mer Rouge, et elle se dessécha; Et il les fit marcher à travers les abîmes comme dans un désert.
¹⁰   Il les sauva de la main de celui qui les haïssait, Il les délivra de la main de l'ennemi.
¹¹   Les eaux couvrirent leurs adversaires: Il n'en resta pas un seul.
¹²   Et ils crurent à ses paroles, Ils chantèrent ses louanges.
¹³   Mais ils oublièrent bientôt ses oeuvres, Ils n'attendirent pas l'exécution de ses desseins.
¹⁴   Ils furent saisis de convoitise dans le désert, Et ils tentèrent Dieu dans la solitude.
¹⁵   Il leur accorda ce qu'ils demandaient; Puis il envoya le dépérissement dans leur corps.
¹⁶   Ils se montrèrent, dans le camp, jaloux contre Moïse, Contre Aaron, le saint de l'ةternel.
¹⁷   La terre s'ouvrit et engloutit Dathan, Et elle se referma sur la troupe d'Abiram;
¹⁸   Le feu embrasa leur troupe, La flamme consuma les méchants.
¹⁹   Ils firent un veau en Horeb, Ils se prosternèrent devant une image de fonte,
²⁰   Ils échangèrent leur gloire Contre la figure d'un boeuf qui mange l'herbe.
²¹   Ils oublièrent Dieu, leur sauveur, Qui avait fait de grandes choses en ةgypte,
²²   Des miracles dans le pays de Cham, Des prodiges sur la mer Rouge.
²³   Et il parla de les exterminer; Mais Moïse, son élu, se tint à la brèche devant lui, Pour détourner sa fureur et l'empêcher de les détruire.
²⁴   Ils méprisèrent le pays des délices; Ils ne crurent pas à la parole de l'ةternel,
²⁵   Ils murmurèrent dans leurs tentes, Ils n'obéirent point à sa voix.
²⁶   Et il leva la main pour jurer De les faire tomber dans le désert,
²⁷   De faire tomber leur postérité parmi les nations, Et de les disperser au milieu des pays.
²⁸   Ils s'attachèrent à Baal Peor, Et mangèrent des victimes sacrifiées aux morts.
²⁹   Ils irritèrent l'ةternel par leurs actions, Et une plaie fit irruption parmi eux.
³⁰   Phinées se leva pour intervenir, Et la plaie s'arrêta;
³¹   Cela lui fut imputé à justice, De génération en génération pour toujours.
³²   Ils irritèrent l'ةternel près des eaux de Meriba; Et Moïse fut puni à cause d'eux,
³³   Car ils aigrirent son esprit, Et il s'exprima légèrement des lèvres.
³⁴   Ils ne détruisirent point les peuples Que l'ةternel leur avait ordonné de détruire.
³⁵   Ils se mêlèrent avec les nations, Et ils apprirent leurs oeuvres.
³⁶   Ils servirent leurs idoles, Qui furent pour eux un piège;
³⁷   Ils sacrifièrent leurs fils Et leurs filles aux idoles,
³⁸   Ils répandirent le sang innocent, Le sang de leurs fils et de leurs filles, Qu'ils sacrifièrent aux idoles de Canaan, Et le pays fut profané par des meurtres.
³⁹   Ils se souillèrent par leurs oeuvres, Ils se prostituèrent par leurs actions.
⁴⁰   La colère de l'ةternel s'enflamma contre son peuple, Et il prit en horreur son héritage.
⁴¹   Il les livra entre les mains des nations; Ceux qui les haïssaient dominèrent sur eux;
⁴²   Leurs ennemis les opprimèrent, Et ils furent humiliés sous leur puissance.
⁴³   Plusieurs fois il les délivra; Mais ils se montrèrent rebelles dans leurs desseins, Et ils devinrent malheureux par leur iniquité.
⁴⁴   Il vit leur détresse, Lorsqu'il entendit leurs supplications.
⁴⁵   Il se souvint en leur faveur de son alliance;
⁴⁶   Il eut pitié selon sa grande bonté, Et il excita pour eux la compassion De tous ceux qui les retenaient captifs.
⁴⁷   Sauve-nous, ةternel, notre Dieu! Et rassemble-nous du milieu des nations, Afin que nous célébrions ton saint nom, Et que nous mettions notre gloire à te louer!
⁴⁸   Béni soit l'ةternel, le Dieu d'Israël, d'éternité en éternité! Et que tout le peuple dise: Amen! Louez l'ةternel!

Psalm 106
¹   Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
²   Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD? who can shew forth all his praise?
³   Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that doeth righteousness at all times.
⁴   Remember me, O LORD, with the favour that thou bearest unto thy people: O visit me with thy salvation;
⁵   That I may see the good of thy chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of thy nation, that I may glory with thine inheritance.
⁶   We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly.
⁷   Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt; they remembered not the multitude of thy mercies; but provoked him at the sea, even at the Red sea.
⁸   Nevertheless he saved them for his name's sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known.
⁹   He rebuked the Red sea also, and it was dried up: so he led them through the depths, as through the wilderness.
¹⁰   And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
¹¹   And the waters covered their enemies: there was not one of them left.
¹²   Then believed they his words; they sang his praise.
¹³   They soon forgat his works; they waited not for his counsel:
¹⁴   But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in the desert.
¹⁵   And he gave them their request; but sent leanness into their soul.
¹⁶   They envied Moses also in the camp, and Aaron the saint of the LORD.
¹⁷   The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan and covered the company of Abiram.
¹⁸   And a fire was kindled in their company; the flame burned up the wicked.
¹⁹   They made a calf in Horeb, and worshipped the molten image.
²⁰   Thus they changed their glory into the similitude of an ox that eateth grass.
²¹   They forgat God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt;
²²   Wondrous works in the land of Ham, and terrible things by the Red sea.
²³   Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them.
²⁴   Yea, they despised the pleasant land, they believed not his word:
²⁵   But murmured in their tents, and hearkened not unto the voice of the LORD.
²⁶   Therefore he lifted up his hand against them, to overthrow them in the wilderness:
²⁷   To overthrow their seed also among the nations, and to scatter them in the lands.
²⁸   They joined themselves also unto Baalpeor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead.
²⁹   Thus they provoked him to anger with their inventions: and the plague brake in upon them.
³⁰   Then stood up Phinehas, and executed judgment: and so the plague was stayed.
³¹   And that was counted unto him for righteousness unto all generations for evermore.
³²   They angered him also at the waters of strife, so that it went ill with Moses for their sakes:
³³   Because they provoked his spirit, so that he spake unadvisedly with his lips.
³⁴   They did not destroy the nations, concerning whom the LORD commanded them:
³⁵   But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works.
³⁶   And they served their idols: which were a snare unto them.
³⁷   Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils,
³⁸   And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.
³⁹   Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own inventions.
⁴⁰   Therefore was the wrath of the LORD kindled against his people, insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance.
⁴¹   And he gave them into the hand of the heathen; and they that hated them ruled over them.
⁴²   Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand.
⁴³   Many times did he deliver them; but they provoked him with their counsel, and were brought low for their iniquity.
⁴⁴   Nevertheless he regarded their affliction, when he heard their cry:
⁴⁵   And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercies.
⁴⁶   He made them also to be pitied of all those that carried them captives.
⁴⁷   Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the heathen, to give thanks unto thy holy name, and to triumph in thy praise.
⁴⁸   Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the LORD.

¹   Louez l'ةternel, car il est bon, Car sa miséricorde dure à toujours!
²   Qu'ainsi disent les rachetés de l'ةternel, Ceux qu'il a délivrés de la main de l'ennemi,
³   Et qu'il a rassemblés de tous les pays, De l'orient et de l'occident, du nord et de la mer!
⁴   Ils erraient dans le désert, ils marchaient dans la solitude, Sans trouver une ville où ils pussent habiter.
⁵   Ils souffraient de la faim et de la soif; Leur âme était languissante.
⁶   Dans leur détresse, ils crièrent à l'ةternel, Et il les délivra de leurs angoisses;
⁷   Il les conduisit par le droit chemin, Pour qu'ils arrivassent dans une ville habitable.
⁸   Qu'ils louent l'ةternel pour sa bonté, Et pour ses merveilles en faveur des fils de l'homme!
⁹   Car il a satisfait l'âme altérée, Il a comblé de biens l'âme affamée.
¹⁰   Ceux qui avaient pour demeure les ténèbres et l'ombre de la mort Vivaient captifs dans la misère et dans les chaînes,
¹¹   Parce qu'ils s'étaient révoltés contre les paroles de Dieu, Parce qu'ils avaient méprisé le conseil du Très Haut.
¹²   Il humilia leur coeur par la souffrance; Ils succombèrent, et personne ne les secourut.
¹³   Dans leur détresse, ils crièrent à l'ةternel, Et il les délivra de leurs angoisses;
¹⁴   Il les fit sortir des ténèbres et de l'ombre de la mort, Et il rompit leurs liens.
¹⁵   Qu'ils louent l'ةternel pour sa bonté, Et pour ses merveilles en faveur des fils de l'homme!
¹⁶   Car il a brisé les portes d'airain, Il a rompu les verrous de fer.
¹⁷   Les insensés, par leur conduite coupable Et par leurs iniquités, s'étaient rendus malheureux.
¹⁸   Leur âme avait en horreur toute nourriture, Et ils touchaient aux portes de la mort.
¹⁹   Dans leur détresse, ils crièrent à l'ةternel, Et il les délivra de leurs angoisses;
²⁰   Il envoya sa parole et les guérit, Il les fit échapper de la fosse.
²¹   Qu'ils louent l'ةternel pour sa bonté, Et pour ses merveilles en faveur des fils de l'homme!
²²   Qu'ils offrent des sacrifices d'actions de grâces, Et qu'ils publient ses oeuvres avec des cris de joie!
²³   Ceux qui étaient descendus sur la mer dans des navires, Et qui travaillaient sur les grandes eaux,
²⁴   Ceux-là virent les oeuvres de l'ةternel Et ses merveilles au milieu de l'abîme.
²⁵   Il dit, et il fit souffler la tempête, Qui souleva les flots de la mer.
²⁶   Ils montaient vers les cieux, ils descendaient dans l'abîme; Leur âme était éperdue en face du danger;
²⁷   Saisis de vertige, ils chancelaient comme un homme ivre, Et toute leur habileté était anéantie.
²⁸   Dans leur détresse, ils crièrent à l'ةternel, Et il les délivra de leurs angoisses;
²⁹   Il arrêta la tempête, ramena le calme, Et les ondes se turent.
³⁰   Ils se réjouirent de ce qu'elles s'étaient apaisées, Et l'ةternel les conduisit au port désiré.
³¹   Qu'ils louent l'ةternel pour sa bonté, Et pour ses merveilles en faveur des fils de l'homme!
³²   Qu'ils l'exaltent dans l'assemblée du peuple, Et qu'ils le célèbrent dans la réunion des anciens!
³³   Il change les fleuves en désert, Et les sources d'eaux en terre desséchée,
³⁴   Le pays fertile en pays salé, A cause de la méchanceté de ses habitants.
³⁵   Il change le désert en étang, Et la terre aride en sources d'eaux,
³⁶   Et il y établit ceux qui sont affamés. Ils fondent une ville pour l'habiter;
³⁷   Ils ensemencent des champs, plantent des vignes, Et ils en recueillent les produits.
³⁸   Il les bénit, et ils deviennent très nombreux, Et il ne diminue point leur bétail.
³⁹   Sont-ils amoindris et humiliés Par l'oppression, le malheur et la souffrance;
⁴⁰   Verse-t-il le mépris sur les grands, Les fait-il errer dans des déserts sans chemin,
⁴¹   Il relève l'indigent et le délivre de la misère, Il multiplie les familles comme des troupeaux.
⁴²   Les hommes droits le voient et se réjouissent, Mais toute iniquité ferme la bouche.
⁴³   Que celui qui est sage prenne garde à ces choses, Et qu'il soit attentif aux bontés de l'ةternel.

⁶   Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.
⁷   And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.
⁸   Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
⁹   For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.
¹⁰   Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron;
¹¹   Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High:
¹²   Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was none to help.
¹³   Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.
¹⁴   He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder.
¹⁵   Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
¹⁶   For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.
¹⁷   Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.
¹⁸   Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death.
¹⁹   Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.
²⁰   He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
²¹   Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
²²   And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.
²³   They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;
²⁴   These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.
²⁵   For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.
²⁶   They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.
²⁷   They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wit's end.
²⁸   Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.
²⁹   He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
³⁰   Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.
³¹   Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
³²   Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.
³³   He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground;
³⁴   A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
³⁵   He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into watersprings.
³⁶   And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation;
³⁷   And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.
³⁸   He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
³⁹   Again, they are minished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.
⁴⁰   He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way.
⁴¹   Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh him families like a flock.
⁴²   The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.
⁴³   Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD

⁷   (108:8) Dieu a dit dans sa sainteté: Je triompherai, Je partagerai Sichem, je mesurerai la vallée de Succoth;
⁸   (108:9) A moi Galaad, à moi Manassé; ةphraïm est le rempart de ma tête, Et Juda, mon sceptre;

¹   Au chef des chantres. De David. Psaume. Dieu de ma louange, ne te tais point!
²   Car ils ouvrent contre moi une bouche méchante et trompeuse, Ils me parlent avec une langue mensongère,
³   Ils m'environnent de discours haineux Et ils me font la guerre sans cause.
⁴   Tandis que je les aime, ils sont mes adversaires; Mais moi je recours à la prière.
⁵   Ils me rendent le mal pour le bien, Et de la haine pour mon amour.
⁶   Place-le sous l'autorité d'un méchant, Et qu'un accusateur se tienne à sa droite!
⁷   Quand on le jugera, qu'il soit déclaré coupable, Et que sa prière passe pour un péché!
⁸   Que ses jours soient peu nombreux, Qu'un autre prenne sa charge!
⁹   Que ses enfants deviennent orphelins, Et sa femme veuve!
¹⁰   Que ses enfants soient vagabonds et qu'ils mendient, Qu'ils cherchent du pain loin de leur demeure en ruines!
¹¹   Que le créancier s'empare de tout ce qui est à lui, Et que les étrangers pillent le fruit de son travail!
¹²   Que nul ne conserve pour lui de l'affection, Et que personne n'ait pitié de ses orphelins!
¹³   Que ses descendants soient exterminés, Et que leur nom s'éteigne dans la génération suivante!
¹⁴   Que l'iniquité de ses pères reste en souvenir devant l'ةternel, Et que le péché de sa mère ne soit point effacé!
¹⁵   Qu'ils soient toujours présents devant l'ةternel, Et qu'il retranche de la terre leur mémoire,
¹⁶   Parce qu'il ne s'est pas souvenu d'exercer la miséricorde, Parce qu'il a persécuté le malheureux et l'indigent, Jusqu'à faire mourir l'homme au coeur brisé!
¹⁷   Il aimait la malédiction: qu'elle tombe sur lui! Il ne se plaisait pas à la bénédiction: qu'elle s'éloigne de lui!
¹⁸   Qu'il revête la malédiction comme son vêtement, Qu'elle pénètre comme de l'eau dans son intérieur, Comme de l'huile dans ses os!
¹⁹   Qu'elle lui serve de vêtement pour se couvrir, De ceinture dont il soit toujours ceint!
²⁰   Tel soit, de la part de l'ةternel, le salaire de mes ennemis, Et de ceux qui parlent méchamment de moi!
²¹   Et toi, ةternel, Seigneur! agis en ma faveur à cause de ton nom, Car ta bonté est grande; délivre-moi!
²²   Je suis malheureux et indigent, Et mon coeur est blessé au dedans de moi.
²³   Je m'en vais comme l'ombre à son déclin, Je suis chassé comme la sauterelle.
²⁴   Mes genoux sont affaiblis par le jeûne, Et mon corps est épuisé de maigreur.
²⁵   Je suis pour eux un objet d'opprobre; Ils me regardent, et secouent la tête.
²⁶   Secours-moi, ةternel, mon Dieu! Sauve-moi par ta bonté!
²⁷   Et qu'ils sachent que c'est ta main, Que c'est toi, ةternel, qui l'as fait!
²⁸   S'ils maudissent, toi tu béniras; S'ils se lèvent, ils seront confus, Et ton serviteur se réjouira.
²⁹   Que mes adversaires revêtent l'ignominie, Qu'ils se couvrent de leur honte comme d'un manteau!
³⁰   Je louerai de ma bouche hautement l'ةternel, Je le célébrerai au milieu de la multitude;
³¹   Car il se tient à la droite du pauvre, Pour le délivrer de ceux qui le condamnent.

Psalm 109
¹   Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise;
²   For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue.
³   They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.
⁴   For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.
⁵   And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.
⁶   Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand.
⁷   When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin.
⁸   Let his days be few; and let another take his office.
⁹   Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.
¹⁰   Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.
¹¹   Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labour.
¹²   Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children.
¹³   Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out.
¹⁴   Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the LORD; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.
¹⁵   Let them be before the LORD continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth.
¹⁶   Because that he remembered not to shew mercy, but persecuted the poor and needy man, that he might even slay the broken in heart.
¹⁷   As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him: as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him.
¹⁸   As he clothed himself with cursing like as with his garment, so let it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones.
¹⁹   Let it be unto him as the garment which covereth him, and for a girdle wherewith he is girded continually.
²⁰   Let this be the reward of mine adversaries from the LORD, and of them that speak evil against my soul.
²¹   But do thou for me, O GOD the Lord, for thy name's sake: because thy mercy is good, deliver thou me.
²²   For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.
²³   I am gone like the shadow when it declineth: I am tossed up and down as the locust.
²⁴   My knees are weak through fasting; and my flesh faileth of fatness.
²⁵   I became also a reproach unto them: when they looked upon me they shaked their heads.
²⁶   Help me, O LORD my God: O save me according to thy mercy:
²⁷   That they may know that this is thy hand; that thou, LORD, hast done it.
²⁸   Let them curse, but bless thou: when they arise, let them be ashamed; but let thy servant rejoice.
²⁹   Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle.
³⁰   I will greatly praise the LORD with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude.
³¹   For he shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those that condemn his soul.

Psaume 110
¹   De David. Psaume. Parole de l'ةternel à mon Seigneur: Assieds-toi à ma droite, Jusqu'à ce que je fasse de tes ennemis ton marchepied.
²   L'ةternel étendra de Sion le sceptre de ta puissance: Domine au milieu de tes ennemis!
³   Ton peuple est plein d'ardeur, quand tu rassembles ton armée; Avec des ornements sacrés, du sein de l'aurore Ta jeunesse vient à toi comme une rosée.
⁴   L'éternel l'a juré, et il ne s'en repentira point: Tu es sacrificateur pour toujours, A la manière de Melchisédek.
⁵   Le Seigneur, à ta droite, Brise des rois au jour de sa colère.
⁶   Il exerce la justice parmi les nations: tout est plein de cadavres; Il brise des têtes sur toute l'étendue du pays.
⁷   Il boit au torrent pendant la marche: C'est pourquoi il relève la tête.

Psalm 110
¹   The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
²   The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.
³   Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.
⁴   The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
⁵   The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.
⁶   He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.
⁷   He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.
